Vajjiputtattheragāthā
BJT 119“Này vị dòng dõi Gotama (Ānanda), hãy đi đến bụi rậm ở gốc cây, hãy đặt Niết Bàn ở trong tâm, hãy tham thiền và chớ có xao lãng, việc nói năng sẽ làm được gì cho ngươi?”

9. Kệ Trưởng Lão Vajjiputta
“Rukkhamūlagahanaṁ pasakkiya, Nibbānaṁ hadayasmiṁ opiya; Jhāya gotama mā ca pamādo, Kiṁ te biḷibiḷikā karissatī”ti.
You’ve left for the jungle, the root of a tree, having laid extinguishment in your heart. Meditate, Gotama, don’t be negligent! What use is this hullabaloo to you?
“Hãy đi vào rừng sâu gốc cây, đặt Niết-bàn vào trong tâm, hãy thiền định, này Gotama, chớ có phóng dật. Tiếng ồn ào sẽ làm gì được cho ngươi?”
