BJT 118“Tuổi tác áp đặt lên như là đã được ra lệnh, sắc thân trong khi vẫn là vậy lại tựa như cái khác. Tôi nhớ về bản thân như là của cái khác, trong khi vẫn chính là cái ấy, không có tách lìa.”
Đại đức trưởng lão Kimbila đã nói lời kệ như thế.

“Abhisattova nipatati, Vayo rūpaṁ aññamiva tatheva santaṁ; Tasseva sato avippavasato, Aññasseva sarāmi attānan”ti.
… Kimilo thero ….
Old age falls like a curse; it’s the same body, but it seems like someone else’s. I remember myself as if I were someone else, but I’m still the same, I haven’t been away.
“Tuổi và sắc đẹp suy tàn như bị nguyền rủa, thân này vẫn như thế mà dường như khác lạ. Dầu vẫn là nó, không hề xa cách, ta vẫn nhớ đến tự thân như là một kẻ khác.”
