BJT 4“Chỉ nên giao thiệp với các bậc đức hạnh, sáng trí, thấy được mục đích. Các bậc thông minh, không xao lãng, có nhận thức rõ ràng, chứng đạt được mục đích lớn lao, thâm sâu, khó thấy, tế nhị, tinh vi.”

4. Kệ Trưởng Lão Puṇṇa
“Sabbhireva samāsetha, paṇḍitehatthadassibhi; Atthaṁ mahantaṁ gambhīraṁ, duddasaṁ nipuṇaṁ aṇuṁ; Dhīrā samadhigacchanti, appamattā vicakkhaṇā”ti.
Associate only with the virtuous, the astute ones who see the goal. The attentive ones, diligent and clear-seeing, realize the goal so great and profound, hard to see, subtle, and very fine.
Chỉ nên kết giao với bậc thiện trí, những người hiền trí thấy được mục đích. Bậc trí, không phóng dật, sáng suốt, sẽ đạt được mục đích vĩ đại, sâu xa, khó thấy, vi tế, và tinh diệu.
Itthaṁ sudaṁ āyasmā puṇṇo mantāṇiputto thero gāthaṁ abhāsitthāti.
That is how this verse was recited by the senior venerable Puṇṇa son of Mantāṇī.
