3. Kinh Về Căn Nguyên Của Sự Tranh Cãi Thứ Hai.
“Kati nu kho, bhante, vivādamūlānī”ti?
“Dasa kho, upāli, vivādamūlāni. Katamāni dasa? Idhupāli, bhikkhū anāpattiṁ āpattīti dīpenti, āpattiṁ anāpattīti dīpenti, lahukaṁ āpattiṁ garukāpattīti dīpenti, garukaṁ āpattiṁ lahukāpattīti dīpenti, duṭṭhullaṁ āpattiṁ aduṭṭhullāpattīti dīpenti, aduṭṭhullaṁ āpattiṁ duṭṭhullāpattīti dīpenti, sāvasesaṁ āpattiṁ anavasesāpattīti dīpenti, anavasesaṁ āpattiṁ sāvasesāpattīti dīpenti, sappaṭikammaṁ āpattiṁ appaṭikammāpattīti dīpenti, appaṭikammaṁ āpattiṁ sappaṭikammāpattīti dīpenti. Imāni kho, upāli, dasa vivādamūlānī”ti.
Tatiyaṁ.
“Sir, how many roots of dispute are there?”
“Upāli, there are ten roots of disputes. What ten? It’s when a mendicant explains what is not an offense as an offense, and what is an offense as not an offense. They explain a light offense as a serious offense, and a serious offense as a light offense. They explain an offense committed with corrupt intention as an offense not committed with corrupt intention, and an offense not committed with corrupt intention as an offense committed with corrupt intention. They explain an offense requiring rehabilitation as an offense not requiring rehabilitation, and an offense not requiring rehabilitation as an offense requiring rehabilitation. They explain an offense with redress as an offense without redress, and an offense without redress as an offense with redress. These are the ten roots of dispute.”
43. “Bạch ngài, có bao nhiêu căn nguyên của sự tranh cãi?” “Này Upāli, có mười căn nguyên của sự tranh cãi. Thế nào là mười? Này Upāli, ở đây các tỳ khưu trình bày vô tội là có tội, trình bày có tội là vô tội; trình bày tội nhẹ là tội nặng, trình bày tội nặng là tội nhẹ; trình bày tội thô lậu là tội không thô lậu, trình bày tội không thô lậu là tội thô lậu; trình bày tội còn dư sót là tội không còn dư sót, trình bày tội không còn dư sót là tội còn dư sót; trình bày tội có thể sửa chữa là tội không thể sửa chữa, trình bày tội không thể sửa chữa là tội có thể sửa chữa. Này Upāli, đây là mười căn nguyên của sự tranh cãi.” (Kinh) thứ ba.
